Hi and welcome! I’m Janet and I’m here to help make your kids love reading!

My goal

My goal is to share with you fun, educational, interactive books that will teach your children to love books and reading. So much so, that they will want to get off of their screens and read!

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and educator, among many other unique, wonderful things. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends, especially my grandchildren. I enjoy what I consider the simple pleasures of life…reading, taking a walk, riding my bike, and knitting. I love teaching and helping others learn.

My “real job” is a Gifted Education Facilitator where I facilitate the learning of gifted students in grades K-12. I’m also lucky enough to teach creative thinking activities in K-4 classrooms at the elementary where I work. I have been an educator for over 30 years, so I know the value of reading, and I am a big believer in the importance of life-long learning!

Why Usborne?

This is my second time around for being a consultant with Usborne Books and More. The first time was in the 80’s when my children were young. I got started then, because my son did not like to read. However, he loved Usborne books, and I was sold! Life got busy, and due to the time constraints of my full-time job, I quit being a consultant in the early 90’s (I think). Recently, I was looking for a “side hustle”, and after much research I came full circle back to Usborne books. I am excited to share these amazing books with my grandchildren and others!
